Alan Jacob Weber (Jake)

June 22, 1962 - January 14, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alan Jacob Weber (Jake).
With his family by his side, he departed this world on January 14, 2024, finding solace and peace after a journey that left an indelible mark on those who knew and loved him.
Born on June 22, 1962 to Jake and Valerie Weber, Jake spent most of his time living in Winnemucca, Nevada where he cultivated a deep connection to the community and the breathtaking landscapes that surrounded him. An avid fisherman, skilled hunter, and enthusiastic golfer,
Jake's love for the outdoors shaped his character and brought joy to those who shared in his adventures.
He loved to sleep under the stars and roam the county roads of Nevada, exploring the canyons and mountainous terrain.
His love for these pursuits became a cornerstone of his identity.
In 1985, Jake entered a loving marriage with Lisa Burrow, embarking on a journey of partnership and shared dreams for over thirty years.
Together they raised two sons, Mitch and John Weber. Family was the heart of Jake’s world.
He devoted himself to nurturing and guiding his sons, teaching them sportsmanship by coaching them in youth baseball, basketball and instilling a lifelong love for the game of golf.
His legacy lives on in the skills and values he instilled in Mitch and John, creating lasting memories of shared adventures.
In his later years, he found love and companionship in Char Owen.
The two spent years together enjoying each other’s company, raising fur babies and loving their combined family.
He leaves this world having found peace within himself. In our hearts, we remember the vibrant spirit of the man who loved the wilderness, cherished his family, and once stood on the greens with a golf club in hand.
An incredibly nice man who only wanted the best for everyone around him.
Jake is survived by his loving sons Mitch (Alexis) and John (Kaylee) Weber, his grandchildren, Bryelle, Canyon, Grant and Reid Weber, his mother and father, Valerie and Jake Weber, his sister Amy Salgo (Richard) and a host of friends and family who will forever hold his memory close.
The love and support of his close-knit family were a source of strength throughout Jake’s life.
The Weber family would like to extend their personal gratitude and appreciation to the entire Owen family for your continued love and support over the recent years, as well as the compassionate staff at Humboldt General Hospital and Renown Regional Medical Center for the wonderful care and poised understanding you provided.
May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by sunshine and serenity of the open wilderness he so eagerly longed for.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
