Robert "Dennis" Brown

November 23, 1946 - August 15, 2024

Robert “Dennis” Brown was born on November 23, 1946 in Twin Falls, Idaho and passed away on August 15, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones.
His favorite part of being on the ranch (Snowy Creek Ranch in Grass Valley which he and Sharon bought in 2005) when it was cold and frosty was to sit in his Polaris side-by-side, load the dogs, turn on the heater on and gather or move cows and check water…or with the a/c on when it was hot.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Audrey B and Robert Charles Brown, grandparents Charlie and Fern Brown, Walt and June Bitton, uncle and aunt John and Peggy Harmon and granddaughter Audrey Hathhorn.
He is survived by Sharon, daughter Celeste Marie Toucet (Jan), son Thomas Bige Brown (Ahnalynn), granddaughters Lacey Tomeo (Shawn), Riley Hathhorn, Zoey Hathhorn, great grandchildren Easton Michael, Audrey Elise, Everley Ann, Hailey Paige, nephew Jeff Hoy, niece Nancy Prout (Greg), sister Penny Campbell (Russell), brother Brent Harmon (Suzanne), cousins Patricia Harmon (Mario) and Brook Harmon.
Brown once said “I was stopped on the edge of the highway when a fully loaded double cattle truck hit my tuck going 80 miles an hour. Somone upstairs must have been watching out for me, as I survived. But before I came to, I heard cows bawling and I thought I was at a team roping; I thought heaven is not too bad and I’ll get to see all my friends that have passed.” He’s now running with his hair on fire down a mountain chasing a mustang as fast as he can go…over and under all the way.
Services will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024 at noon at Sonoma Funeral Home, followed by graveside services at 1:00 p.m. in Winnemucca.
