Carol Jean Hanninen (Ray)

Carol Jean Hanninen (Ray) was born on May 7, 1943, in Butte, MT and passed away suddenly on August 15, 2024 at HGH in Winnemucca surrounded by family and chilling out to her favorite ABBA songs. Carol was the oldest of five siblings and was a softball playing, kick-the-can kicking, ice-skating tomboy through and through. Her first job was at the Columbia Gardens and she was especially fond of telling about the sliding saves she would do to keep the children from being hit by the tandem swings. (If you know…you know!) It was in Butte that Carol would meet and marry a handsome young man named Walter William Ray. When asked if it was love at first sight Carol would laugh and remind those inquiring that Bill (AKA your father/grandfather) had stood her up on their first date. Eleanor Jeanne Lemaire

Eleanor Jeanne Lemaire was born November 25, 1931, in Battle Mountain, Nevada, to parents Louis E. and Eleanor Mollart Lemaire. Jeanne loved the outdoors. She had many happy times with her family, including summer camping on the Humboldt River, fishing, and hunting. She loved music, played the piano, organ, and clarinet, and sang with several choral groups. Jeanne married her high school sweetheart, Sam Broyles. Together they raised three children, first in Battle Mountain then moving to Fallon in 1963. After the divorce, Jeanne went to work for CC Communications as a night telephone operator. She retired 10 years later as an Executive Assistant. She met Robert Ansotegui at his business, Builders Supply. They married and spent much of their 42 years together, traveling, fishing, camping, and visiting family. Sometimes these activities happened all at the same time. Jeanne’s greatest joy was family. Victor John Miller

Victor John Miller passed away while surrounded by family on June 30, 2024, at 73 years old, in Emmett, ID. Victor was born on July 21, 1950, to Verne and Virginia Miller (nee Keimig) in Denver, CO. He is the oldest of 3 children. He enjoyed close relationships with his brother Preston (Barbara) of Santa Fe, NM and sister Virginia “Gini” Linthicum (Gordon) of Tuscon AZ through his adult life. Victor attended elementary school in Denver, CO at Rose Elementary school. He quickly became lifelong friends with Rick Mosier (Susan) and Harold “Mac” McCloud (Debbie). He attended junior high at Alameda Junior High, and high school at Alameda High School. Mac, Rick and Victor joined gymnastics during high school. Following high school. Robert "Dennis" Brown

Robert “Dennis” Brown was born on November 23, 1946 in Twin Falls, Idaho and passed away on August 15, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones. His favorite part of being on the ranch (Snowy Creek Ranch in Grass Valley which he and Sharon bought in 2005) when it was cold and frosty was to sit in his Polaris side-by-side, load the dogs, turn on the heater on and gather or move cows and check water…or with the a/c on when it was hot. Duane Paul Wilson

Duane Paul Wilson, passed away on August 6, 2024, at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center in Cheyenne, WY. He was born on November 29, 1951, in McCloud, CA to the late Elmer and Gertrude Wilson. Graduating from Big Valley H.S. in Bieber, CA, in 1970, Duane spent close to 30 years as an equipment operator and truck driver in the California logging and lumber industry. His expertise eventually led him to his true passion as a ranch foreman in rural northern Nevada, where he spent the final years of his career immersed in the cowboy life he so dearly cherished. In his earlier years, Duane enjoyed creating memories while hunting, fishing, and supporting his three boys in their endeavors in Lassen County, CA. Mike Scott

Mike Scott, a master of business, a master mechanic and a master funny guy, passed away Tuesday July 23, 2024 at his home in Winnemucca NV. at the age of 55. Mike was born Michael Samuel Scott in Centerville, IA to Michael and Elaine Scott. Always one for an adventure and looking for a better life, Mike headed West when he turned 18. He married his first wife. After a brief stay in California, he moved to Winnemucca and took a job at WinnersCasino as a maintenance/security guard. Mike knew when he started the job he wasn’t staying and soon he started at the mines. He then had his 2 girls, Amanda and Ashlee. Mike was always trying to improve and make things better. She was raised in Utah and Idaho. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all her life. Bonnie met the love of her life Von, in Brigham City, UT. Joy L. Sweeney

Joy L. Sweeney, beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2024, at the age of 68. Born on June 27, 1956, in Winnemucca, Nevada, she lived a life filled with love, compassion, and dedication to her family, friends and community. Joy was a devoted wife to her husband, Gary Sweeney, with whom she shared 26 years of marriage. As a mother, she nurtured and guided her children, Jeremy (Shannon) Edgar, Jacob (Ashley) Edgar, and Jillian Edgar, and stepchildren, Paul Sweeney and Nicole Sweeney, with unwavering love and support. Robert (Bob) Meckley Sr.

Robert (Bob) Meckley Sr. went to be with the heavenly father at the South Lyon long-term care facility in Yerington, NV on August 2nd, 2024. Bob was a member of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He enjoyed square dancing with his wife where they attended many local events. He was an avid bowler and spent his free time at the bowling alley where he met and socialized with friends.
