Jacqueline Ann Morris

Jacqueline Ann Morris, died on April 19, 2024 at the Marian Estates, McKillop Assisted Living, Sublimity, Oregon. She was 96. She was born January 31, 1928 in Waterloo, Iowa, daughter of Marie and Eugene Whipple. Jackie retired from Safeway in 1983. She enjoyed being a homemaker, was a wonderful cook and baker. She and her husband Donald (Cork) loved to travel in their motorhome with their friends and play cards. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald B. (Cork), her three sons, Donald, Dennis and Douglas, her daughter, Patricia Block, her brother, George Whipple, sisters Rosemary Key and Carolyn Brumm, her granddaughter, Christina Croft and two great grandsons, Jeffrey Croft and Joshua Croft. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Lonnie, of Scio, Oregon, four grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Mary Anne Muniz

Mary Anne Muniz 71 of Winnemucca NV, passed away on April 11th 2024. Mary Anne is survived by her two children Gabby and Dexter, sister Becky, four grandsons, and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her son Nathan, mother and father Earlene and Lee, and sister Ruth. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Consuelo Connie Pulido Vaca

We are sad to announce the passing of Consuelo (Connie) Pulido Vaca of Winnemucca, Nevada. She died at the age of 61 on April 9, 2024. Consuelo passed away surrounded by her loved ones after a painful battle with cancer. She loved her kids and grandkids unconditionally. In working at Walmart for 26 years, she met and touched the lives of so many people. Her smile lit up a room, made everyone feel welcomed. She had a big heart and helped anyone in any way she could. She helped and influenced so many people in a positive way. Her kindness and love had no limits. Consuelo had a sense of humor that could make a statue laugh. She loved to garden, the arts, crafts and cooking. She filled our bellies as much as she filled our hearts. Frank Steven Cerini

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Frank Steven Cerini, who departed this life on March 9, 2024, at the age of 82, due to multiply organ failures. Born on June 2, 1941, in Lovelock, Nevada, Frank was the beloved son of George and Dorothy Cerini. Frank was a pillar of the community, renowned for his strength of body and spirit. He possessed an unwavering commitment to standing up for the underdog and had an innate ability to bring joy to those around him. With his quick wit and infectious laughter, he earned a special place in the hearts of all who knew him. His enjoyment for humor and endearing habit of assigning affectionate nicknames to family and friends endeared him to many. Gene A. Brinkerhoff, age 87 passed away on April 6, 2024 at Pershing General Hospital In Lovelock You are a great dad. You raised us three girls with a sense of humor and a firm voice. Just ask any one of us, we turned out great. During your life you saw many new innovations in the world. Being born in 1936, many new and exciting modernization and contraptions came into being — cell phones, laptops, electric pressure cookers, affordable household tvs, computers, and oxygen machines. You tried them all right down to iphones and Apple watches. You were born in Flowell, Utah on a farm and had three sisters and two brothers. You were the oldest son. Sherry Ann Greene

Sherry Ann Greene passed away on April 1, 2024, at her home. She was born on August 12, 1952, to Elisha and Jo Ann Keeping. She moved around a bit in her early days before settling down in the place she loved the most, Imlay, Nevada. She had two children, Terra and David. Sherry was married to Gerald “Jerry” Greene and the two shared 31 years together until his passing in 2022. She loved to be creative – writing short stories and poetry! She was very generous and made people laugh with her silly antics. Sherry was often referred to as “the life of the party”. She is survived by her children, Terra Dawn Taylor and David (Megan) Lowell Ford. Diane Pearl (Clausen) Eckhart

Diane Pearl (Clausen) Eckhart, 66, of Boise, Idaho, passed away peacefully in her home on March 20, 2024 after a strong and courageous battle with Glioblastoma. Diane was born on Sept. 13, 1957, in Winnemucca, Nevada, to Ruth and Raymond Clausen. She is the oldest of three sisters, Darlene and Debbie, who she kept in close contact with her entire life. During her childhood, her family enjoyed traveling to North Dakota to stay at their family’s farm during the summer. She enjoyed getting up early to work on the farm and swim in the watering hole with her cousins. She had many friends in Winnemucca and graduated high school in May 1976. She relocated to Boise in June 1976 to attend Links School of Business. In March 1977, she graduated with a certificate in Automation Secretarial. Olga Moell

Olga Moell passed away on March 22, 2024. She was born to Emery & Iona Jenks in Hague, North Dakota on July 9, 1936, she was the oldest of 6 children. Olga met the love of her life, Frank, in 1955. They were married on December 17, 1955, and were never apart until Frank’s passing just a few weeks shy of their 67th anniversary. They moved around the Dakota’s a lot early in their marriage due to Frank working construction. After several years of enduring the cold weather of the Dakota’s, they moved to Chula Vista, California where they lived for several years until moving to Nevada. They spent 14 years in Carson City, then moved to Lovelock for a short while before moving on to the Feather River Ranch in Loyalton, CA. Rocky Joe Perides

Surrounded by loved ones on March 21st, 2024, Rocky Joe Perides lost his battle with medical issues and passed away at Humboldt General Hospital in Winnemucca. Even through his pain he fought with a smile, worrying about others more than himself. Rocky was born March 27th, 1957 in Price, UT to Betty Evelynn Gordon and lived there for several years until moving to Provo. He graduated from Orem High School and joined the Utah National Guard in 1976, serving honorably for 9 years in total. Rocky married Christine Young in 1977 and together they were blessed with four amazing children. In 1988 Rocky moved his family to Nevada in pursuit of career opportunities and remained in Nevada the rest of his life. Sharon "Shoey" Ann Kearns Huber

Sharon “Shoey” Ann Kearns Huber, 64, passed away on March 13, 2024. Shoey was born on June 27, 1959, in Redwood City, California to Raymond and Diane Kearns. She lived in Redwood City until age two when the family moved to Winnemucca, Nevada. She attended school in Winnemucca, graduating from Lowry High School in 1977. Sharon’s nickname (Shoey) was bestowed on her at an early age by her younger brother who had difficulty pronouncing her given name. Shoey was how she was known by everyone her entire life. She even used it on her old Nevada blue license plate throughout her driving years. Shoey married Vincent “Red” Huber in May 1981. They were blessed with two children and four grandchildren. Michael Joseph Douglas, 67, of Winnemucca, NV passed away peacefully March 9, 2024, surrounded by family. Michael is survived by his wife of 36 years, Cheryl, his siblings Andrew, Patrick and Sherry, his daughters Heather (Lance) and Erica (Georgios) and his favorite niece and nephews Kelli, John and Matt and numerous grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his Mom Georgia. A celebration of life will be held at later date this summer.
