Born on August 22nd 1982 and passed away on November 27th 2022.
Justin was born to James Michael Wilcox and Jaqueline Moen Wilcox in Hyattsville, Maryland.
Justin grew up in Las Vegas NV with his 3 brothers and mother, where he attended JE Manch and Lincoln Elementary schools. Justin moved north to Battle Mountain NV in 1995 with his father and 3 brothers.
Justin attended Battle Mountain Middle school and BMHS, where he graduated from in 2002. Justin Excelled in sports such as football, wrestling and track (shot put and discus).
He received Varsity letters in football and track along with numerous medals and ribbons.
After graduation, Justin moved to Reno NV with his brother Jeremiah. Justin worked as a mechanic's assistant at Greyhound bus lines where he excelled in and loved his job.
Justin moved back to Battle Mountain in 2006 to work as a mechanic's assistant and lube technician in the gold mines. He loved his work and was good at it.
In 2008 he moved back to Las Vegas with his father James Wilcox. In 2009 Justin got sick with what was later diagnosed years later as Epithelioid Sarcoma, a very rare and aggressive form of cancer.
He lost his leg from the disease in 2015, where he went into remission until 2019, when the disease returned.
Justin fought hard with chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, oral chemotherapy and various experimental treatments.
In 2020 the disease caused him to lose his leg to the hip and his left lung, after several other major surgeries in 2021 where he underwent face surgery, and in 2022 with his final surgery with his lungs.
Justin fought like a true warrior his whole life and especially in the final months and years.
Sadly, not very long after his final surgery, after a very hard and long battle, Justin lost his fight on the morning of Nov. 27th 2022.
He will be remembered best by his Nickname "Goob Dawg", But I will remember best as my best friend and hero.
Justin is proceeded in death by his father James Wilcox and his mother Jaqueline Wilcox.
He is survived in life by his brother, Jeremiah Wilcox, John Wilcox and Joseph Wilcox. Justin Matthew Wilcox, your journey is over, may you rest in peace my brother and friend.
