Larry Darby passed away on May 26, 2023, in Winnemucca, Nevada. He was born on June 1, 1943, in Moab, Utah.
Larry grew up in Monticello, Utah. He lived for some time in Murray, Utah; Salina, Utah; Beatty, Nevada and finally settled in Winnemucca, Nevada.
Larry married Barbara Lynch on April 5, 1966. The two were married for 57 years before Barbara’s passing in 2020.
They shared many fond memories and 2 sons, Darin and David. Larry and Barbara started saying for the family “I love you more and said it first.”
Barbara and Larry enjoyed many evenings of music, dancing and dinner together.
He served in the United States Navy for a period of time.
Larry was a Christian and read his bible every day and cared about our individual relationship with God.
He was the #1 Dad! He loved visiting family, fishing, playing guitar and would teach anyone who wanted to learn.
He is survived by his son, David Darby. His grandchildren, Kylee Darby, Kip Darby, Tayler Darby (Kyle), Dustin Darby, and Brookie Darby. His daughter-in-law, Jana Darby.
His brother, Art Randles and his family, his brothers-in-law, Keith Lynch (Tonya), and Kevin Lynch (Karen) and family and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara. His son, Darin Darby and grandchild, Camryn Darby. His parents, Mavel Burnside and Elbert Randles, his sister, Mary Randles Perkins, and his in-laws, Kenneth and Betty Lou Lynch.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to HGH’s Dr. Lee Church and nurses for caring so much for dad, he was telling his jokes and in good spirits. Dad couldn’t have had better care.
