Harold Donovan Gudmundsen, 34, passed away on November 22, 2023.
He was born on September 10th, 1989, in Winnemucca, Nevada to Johnna Black and Harold David Gudmundsen.
He was born and raised in Winnemucca. He grew up being active in many sports but ultimately realized basketball was his passion and continued to pursue that throughout his academic career.
He was a proud Lowry High School Graduate earning his advanced diploma and the Millennium scholarship to attend the University of Nevada, Reno and pursue his passion in Engineering.
Throughout his life, he took great pride in the work ethic he created. He started screen printing t-shirts for Patty at the Mad Hatter at age 15 and held many jobs throughout his teenage years.
He ultimately found his love for Engineering when he went to work at CarWil using the AutoCad skills he had learned in school.
When he wasn’t working, you could find him on the golf course or asking who you were going to bet on for whatever sporting event that was taking place.
He never knew a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone that would listen.
He always insisted on being the loudest and most heard person in the room. He had a passion for Nevada Mining, The Boston Red Sox and Nevada Wolf Pack Athletics.
His smile, demeanor and quick wit could light up the darkest room.
Being the first-born son, grandson & nephew, he had his family wrapped around his finger. Often times and with no shame, reminding everyone that he was the favorite.
He took his roll of son, brother, grandson & nephew very seriously and always loved the time he got to spend with his family.
Our world will not be the same without him.
He is survived by his parents, Johnna (Leon) Burris; Harold (Gloria) Gudmundsen; Siblings; Emily Anderson; Walter Gudmundsen; Cheryl (Drew) Upshaw; Drew Upshaw; Grace Upshaw; Fiancé Patricia (Bailee, Austyn) Hays; Grandparents; Mike (Judy) Black; Donna Carter; Harold Dean Gudmundsen; Nieces; Brooklynn; Riley; Lily; Aunts; Michelle Ingalls; Deana (Jim) Anderson; Uncle; Bill (Liz) Carter Cousins; Alex Ingalls; Ben Ingalls; Sara (Joe) Simpson
