Ted Garcia passed away on August 5, 2023, at the age of 68. He was born on March 7, 1955, in Laramie, Wyoming to Alfred and Marcella Garcia.
He was born and raised in Wyoming and moved to Nevada in 1989. He worked in the mining industry since he was 18 years old.
He did coal mining in Wyoming and then gold mining in Nevada. He retired from the mining industry in 2018.
He loved nature, photography and painting in his youth. He enjoyed shooting pool and listening to music.
He especially loved his trips to Alaska. He had an interest in talking and watching football and he loved spending time with his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Garcia. His children, Joshua (Kerri) Garcia, Devin (Mark) Morfin, and Rico (Letty) Garcia. His 13 grandkids and one great-grandson.
He is also survived by his 11 siblings, Helen (Jerry) Blare, Rick (Kathy) Garcia, John (Carol) Garcia, David (Tammy) Garcia, Eddie (Brandi) Garcia, Teresa (Kevin) Kulow, Blanca Garcia, Chris Garcia, Raul (Norma) Garcia, Cecilia (Chuck) Sheppard, and Carlos (Monica) Garcia.
He is preceded by his parents, Alfred and Marcella Garcia and his brother, Alfred Garcia Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 16, 2023, at 3:00 pm at the Winnemucca Convention Center – East Hall.
A Benefit Pool Tournament will be held on October 21, 2023, at Keys Pool Hall in Winnemucca, Nevada.
