With schools playing home and home series' this year, the start to the Division IV East volleyball season got is off to an early start.
The 2014 Lowry High School winter sports night for athletes and parents will be held Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 6 p.m. in the Lowry auditorium.

It was one the few sporting events that were not canceled due to dense smoke in the area last week. The Buckaroos lost 8-1 to Truckee in the Division I-A North match-up. Lowry is now 1-2 in league play and 2-4 overall. Lowry's match at Sparks last Thursday was called off due to smoke and will be made up at a later date. The Buckaroos are scheduled to play Elko today at 3 p.m. (JV) and varsity 5 p.m.
