WINNEMUCCA - After opening the season with three home games, Interstate 80 has been a familiar road for the Lowry High School varsity girls basketball team in the month of December.

Buckaroo wrestlers notch team title at Cody Louk Invitational

The Lowry High School wrestling squad was at home this past weekend for one of the few times this season and they did not disappoint the crowd in attendance. The Buckaroo Blue team had nine grapplers finish in the top six, including three champions in Kevin Blanco, Beau Billingsley and Luis Cardenas on their way to capturing the team title with 243.50 points. Spring Creek was second at 204.50. The Lowry Gold team was 10th with 109.50 points.

WINNEMUCCA - The Lowry High School wrestling team continued its grind through a number of tournaments with a 10th place finish at the Sierra Nevada Classic last week in Reno.The Buckaroos were the highest-finishing Nevada team with 119 points, despite missing two of their top wrestlers due to injury. Lowry beat out Spanish Springs, Reno and Damonte Ranch.
