Century Club barbecue to be held Saturday

WINNEMUCCA - The Winnemucca Century Club, the booster club for Lowry High School athletics, will hold its annual membership drive barbecue Saturday, at 6 p.m. at Vesco Park.All those interested in joining the Century Club are urged to attend the barbecue. The Century Club helps in purchasing new uniforms and equipment for the various sports teams, as well as improving the various sports facilities at the high school. The club is always looking for new members.

Jeff Wade Memorial -

The Winnemucca junior golf season came to an end last week with the Jeff Wade Memorial tournament. The season began in July and went through the middle of August. Participation among the youngster was up this summer compared to past years, with around 40 golfers for each tournament. Ethan Gray, Trevor Stannard, Kobe Stoker, Hunter Mullins, Alyssa Dendary, Elise Rose, Tatayana Carlson and Lily Landt were the final winners of the season.
