After a tough weekend against two of the best teams in Division I-A, the Lowry High School boys soccer team got back on the winning track Wednesday night, with a 4-0 win over Fernley in Winnemucca.
With the regional championships just three weeks away, the Lowry High School cross country teams are headed for the final stretch of the regular season.

The last time the Lowry High School volleyball team and Truckee played in Winnemucca, it was last November, with the winner advancing to the state tournament. The Wolverines upset the Lady Bucks on that day.

Cutting and reining classes, as well as shooting sports were held on Friday, Sept. 25, with the balance of traditional rodeo events taking place Saturday and Sunday.

Melanie Lawson was crowned the 2015 Winnemucca Ladies Golf Club champion last week. Lawson shot a two-day total of 183 to claim the crown. Chompoo Landt finished second at 184 and Lynda Walton (185) was third.
