Jacky Rosen (D-NV) and the senators from California, is the third iteration of the original Lake Tahoe Restoration Act of 2000.

The Lowry High School volleyball team spent much of last week on the road, completing the first half of the Northern 3A East schedule and a non-conference match thrown in as well.
The Battle Mountain High School volleyball team remained in the hunt for a playoff berth in the Northern 2A with a split of two matches against Oasis Academy and Yerington this past weekend. Oasis Academy grabbed the first set on Friday in Fallon 25-20, when Battle Mountain rallied for three straight wins at 25-19, 35-9 and 26-24.
After nearly a month without a game, the McDermitt High School football team was back on the field this past Saturday in Owyhee. The Braves picked up their first win of the season with a 28-12 victory over the Bulldogs.

Last Tuesday (Oct. 1), the Pershing County High School girls soccer hosted the undefeated Churchill County Greenwave (12-0) and lost 10-0. The Mustangs rebounded against the Whittell Warriors on Thursday, winning 8-0.
The postseason opportunities for the Lowry High School boys soccer team took a hit this past weekend with two league losses in Elko County. Lowry traveled to Elko on Friday afternoon and suffered a 5-1 loss to the league-leading Indians.
The weather was perfect last Thursday at Mountain View Golf Course, as the Battle Mountain High School girls golf team concluded the regular season on its home course. Virginia City claimed the team title, with a four-player score of 424 and White Pine placed as the runner-up at 471.
The Pershing County Mustangs come off their bye week and travel to Dayton this Friday to play the Dust Devils. The following Friday (Oct.18), the Mustangs host West Wendover at 6 p.m.
The Pershing County High School volleyball team scored two wins last weekend. On Friday, the Mustangs hosted Sierra Lutheran, defeating the Falcons in three sets 25-6, 25-16 ,25-13. On Saturday, Pershing County traveled to Incline Village and beat the second-seeded team in the 2A in five sets 19-25, 24-26, 25-13, 25-13, 16-14. The Mustangs now stand at 24-3 overall and 14-0 in the 2A Northern league.
