Lander County residents are invited to attend a free webinar hosted by the National Travel Center on Tuesday, Dec.17, at 9 a.m. This event, titled "New Ideas, New Resilience, New Plans," will provide actionable insights to help communities prepare for the future and build resilience.
The Nevada Division of Child & Family Services is hosting an online Pre-Service Training for Foster Care Applicants from Jan. 28 to February 6, designed to provide prospective foster parents with the foundational knowledge and skills needed to begin fostering in Rural Nevada.
Lunches are served each weekday at noon and soup and croutons is served at 11 a.m. the Pleasant Senior Center, 1480 Lay Street. Lunches are open to the public. Suggested minimum donation is $4 for seniors age 60 and older. Visitors must be 16 years or older. Their meal is $10. Hot soup at croutons served daily with meal. Low-fat milk available daily. Safety of food after it has been served & taken from the center is the responsibility of the consumer.
