After a long, difficult struggle, Marian I. Howard quietly passed away at Harmony Manor on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013.
Gary Ross Boswell, Jr. died in Lovelock, Nev., on Feb. 13, 2013. Gary was born Aug. 5, 1970, in Yuba City, Calif., to Gary Sr. and Joyce Boswell. Gary was a Nevada resident since 1974, living in various towns around the state.
Merlin M. Herrald II "Bullet," age 32, of Crescent Valley, Nev., passed away on Feb. 2, 2013, in Reno, Nev. He was born in Manteca, Calif., to Merlin and Debbie Herrald, of Valley Springs, Calif. His family moved to Hawthorne, Nev., in 1981, then to Lovelock, Nev., in 1993. He graduated from Pershing County High School in Lovelock in 1998. He married Amber Anelli, in Reno, Nev., in 2006. He and his family moved to Kemmerer, Wyo., in 2008 and then to Crescent Valley in 2009.
Johnny Etchebarren was born to Grecian and Mabel (Rooker) Etchebarren in May 1933. He passed away on Feb. 9, 2013. He attended schools in Austin, Duckwater, Current Creek, and Stewart Indian Boarding School.
Elinor Marie McGrath was born Nov. 12, 1923, in Custer, S.D., to Oliver and Margaret King. Elinor passed away on Feb. 13, 2013.
Anne Uraneck Stone, 102, of Lovelock, Nev., died at Life Care Center of Reno, Feb. 19, 2013.
Gary A. Cowger, owner of Lovelock Funeral Home, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013, in Lovelock. Born in Los Angeles, Calif., on April 14, 1942, he was 70 years old. In 1991, he came to Lovelock to help operate the Lovelock Funeral Home with lifelong friend, Ray Heikkila. Ray passed away in 2004. Gary continued to run the funeral home up until his death. He also was the owner/operator of Albertson's (formerly Eddy's) Funeral Home in Winnemucca.
Carolyn Louise Loeppky passed away at her home on February 28th 2013. Carolyn was born on June 16th 1952 in California to Mary Harrison and Leonard Loeppky. In the early 70's Carolyn moved to Bridgeport California where she got her Certified Nursing Assistant degree and started working at Mono General Hospital until 1986. Carolyn and her husband Matthew Ebert moved to Winnemucca Nevada September 5th 1990.
Kristy Lynn (McManamen) Sy was born March 8, 1980 and was 32 years old when she passed due to natural causes on Feb. 27, 2013 while vacationing in Belize.
Gabriel (Gabe) McFarland was born April 10, 2003, in Ellsworth, Maine. He passed away unexpectedly and much too soon on March 4, 2013.
