About 450 students from Lowry High School, PASS and McDermitt attended the College and Career Fair 2011 held Nov. 10 at the Winnemucca Convention Center. There were about 40 colleges, businesses and military that participated. WINNEMUCCA - Garth Foster was sentenced on Nov. 14 for the charge of possession of a controlled substance for sale. Foster had previously entered a guilty plea agreement to the charge subsequent to the denial of his motion to suppress evidence.
WINNEMUCCA - The Humboldt County School District (HCSD) Transition Programs has received a Medicaid Infrastructure Grant to host a week-long After School Work Camp for students with disabilities. The camp will run from Nov. 28 - Dec. 3.
