WINNEMUCCA - The Sixth Judicial District Court's criminal trial calendar is growing due to defendants pleading "not guilty" at arraignment in Judge Michael Montero's courtroom on Oct. 31.

Haunted Halloween - Winnemucca celebrates holiday

The undead roamed the streets across the United States Monday, as the National Retail Federation reported zombie costumes were some of the most popular Halloween choices this year among both adults and young people. Americans were expected to spend $2.5 billion on costumes this year, according to an NRF survey, forking over $1 billion on children's costumes, $1.2 billion on adult costumes and $310 million on pet costumes.

Vehicle accident -

The driver of this Mustang was making a left-hand turn onto U.S. 95 from Reinhart Lane when a Swift tractor/trailer northbound on U.S. 95 clipped the front of the car on Nov. 1 at approximately 10 a.m., according to Pat Songer, Humboldt General Hospital Emergency Medical Services director. Songer reported that there were no injuries to any parties.
