Lowry senior interviews -

About 125 Lowry High School seniors who are in English III classes had the opportunity to practice their interviewing skills last week, a first-time experience for some of the students. Interviewers were chosen from among community and business leaders representing a wide variety of occupations and experience, according to Michelle Eldot, who set up the two days of interviews. Most of the students shared with their interviewers the high school portfolios they put together with photos and information about their accomplishments, activities, interests and families. The approximately 15-minute interviews gave the seniors an opportunity to shine as they described themselves as they are now, and what they see for their future. The evaluations will be shared with the students to help them see their strengths and focus on areas in need of improvement. Pictured are interviewer Heather McCoy (left) and Lowry senior Juaquin Lopez, right. Several of the interviewers have been involved with Lowry exit interviews for years, and enjoy giving the students an opportunity to practice interviewing skills to prepare them for the world after they graduate in a little over a month.
