Probation given for sex offender non-registration

John Ambrose Picotte III was recently sentenced to serve a term of probation on a suspended prison sentence for failure to register as a sex offender in Humboldt County, a category D felony in Nevada. 

Teen convicted of drug felony for marijuana

Caleb Hinkle was recently ordered to complete a term of probation for a suspended prison sentence for unlawful use of a controlled substance, a category E felony.  Hinkle admitted to being under the influence of marijuana while under 21 years of age in March 2019, a category E felony.  The department of parole and probation and district attorney both recommended that Hinkle be given a chance to complete a six-month regimental discipline program as a diversion program that would allow him to avoid the felony conviction.

Woman given probation on exploitation

Anna Hayden was recently sentenced to probation after pleading guilty to the exploitation of a vulnerable person via theft of funds last year.  Hayden, a 22-year-old highschool graduate, admitted to using the credit card of a vulnerable person due to physical or mental disability for her own personal use around Christmas time in 2018.

Man ordered drug treatment for grand larceny

Timothy Deboer was recently ordered to complete the Humboldt County Adult Drug Court program and inpatient treatment program on a suspended sentence after pleading guilty to grand larceny in Winnemucca.  Deboer, age 30, admitted to stealing personal property including coins, firearms and ammunition valued in excess of $3,500 from a fellow Winnemucca resident.

Man sent to prison for burglary

Kelvin Littrell, age 22, was sent to prison on a category B felony burglary charge recently to serve 16 to 60 months in prison.  Littrell admitted to entering vehicles from September 20-21 in Humboldt County with the intent to commit grand larceny or petit larceny.  Littrell was originally arrested on September 21 and charged with auto burglary and misdemeanor resist obstruct.  The burglary charge for which Littrell admitted to has a potential prison sentence of one to ten years, a maximum $10,000 fine and the eligibility for probation.
