Correction In the story Crossroads Paper announces intentions to build recycling facility in Humboldt County in the May 1 edition it was incorrectly stated that the facility will be 220 square feet. The paper recycling will be 220,000 sqaure feet. Additionally, facility will consume about 330 acre feet of water annually, not daily as was stated. The Sun regrets the error.
In the July 29 issue of the Great Basin Sun it was reported that Amanda Burrows spoke to the school board. That was in error. It was Andrea Burrows. The Sun regrets the error.
In the June 1 edition of the paper, the Extension Highlights story had incorrect and disconnected phone numbers as contact info for reporting Mormon Crickets. The Nevada Department of Agriculture requests that Mormon Crickets be reported to the State Entomologist at 775-353-3767 or through the online form at agri.nv.gov/entomology
In reference to the Solar Farm Tax Abatement article in the May 11 edition, it was incorrectly reported that Tom Hoss and Ron Cerri voted no. It was Hoss and Jesse Hill voting no. The Sun regrets the error.
In last week’s article, “Preliminary tox reports indicate detective’s death may have been overdose”, it was written that “ ... an item of tampered evidence, which has not become part of the HCSO’s continuing investigation...” The sentence should have read “now”, not “not”. The error was a typo on the part of the Sun writer and not the fault of the reporting agency. The Sun regrets the error.
