CARSON CITY, Nev. – Lane reductions will begin March 3 on Interstate 80 east of Battle Mountain in Eureka County as the Nevada Department of Transportation makes routine bridge surface repairs.
Sections of I-80 will be reduced to one lane in each direction near I-80 mile marker 256 (west of the intersection with State Route 306) 24/7 weekdays between 6 a.m. Mondays and 5 p.m. Fridays beginning March 3 through early summer.
Speed limits will be reduced through the work zone.
The construction work schedule is subject to change.
Motorists should anticipate moderate travel delays and are asked to allow extra travel time in the area and to always drive safely through road work zones.
Enhancements to the aging bridge surface will provide a safer and smoother drive and help preserve the bridge surface.
