Meridian ran away with the championship with 221.5 points and Fruitland was second at 178.5. Harber won his first three matches by fall and in under two minutes. He needed just 60 seconds to dispose of Aiden Gill of Filer in the opening round and 62 seconds in round two against Caldera’s Jesse Charles.
The senior advanced to the quarterfinals with a pin over Jason Stone of Post Falls and the semifinals with a 17-1 technical fall against Lewiston’s Tate Cuthbert.
The long weekend continued with a second-period pin of Eagle’s Antonio Genovesi Harber capped off the tournament with a 18-3 victory over Meridian’s Camden Crespi.
Pete Bengochea at 106 pounds and Kruz Gomez (120) won a pair of matches to move into the championship third round. Bengochea pinned Coeur D Alene’s Nash Larsen in the first round and beat Chiawana’s Josias Del cid by tech fall at 16-1.
