Late February was a good month for the Lowry High School, McDermitt High School and Pershing County High School girls basketball teams. The Lowry girls rallied for its third consecutive state title and ninth overall with a 61-56 over Fernley. The McDermitt girls reached the state title game in the 1A division and Pershing County played in the 2A tournament.
