The Battle Mountain High School boys golf team was busy last week, with two tournaments in eastern Nevada.
The week started at Toana Vista Golf Course in Wendover on Monday, April 14.
The Longhorns took just three players to the tournament, with James Spealman finished fourth overall with a round of 93.
Ari Kyllonen carded a 112 and Austin Duval shot 140.
Those same three golfers traveled to the Idaho/Nevada border on Thursday, April 17, in Jackpot. Spealman carded a second consecutive 93, including a 45 on the back nine to place third overall.
Kyllonen shot 49 on the final nine holes to finish at 103 and Duval shot 140.
Battle Mountain travels to Ely on Thursday for White Pine’s tournament and host its own tournament on Monday, April 28.
The regular season concludes Thursday, May 1, in Wells.
The Northern 2A East Regional Championship will be back at Toana Vista Golf Course in Wendover on Tuesday, May 6.
The top two teams and the top five individuals from non-qualifying teams in this league championship advance to the Class 2A State Boys Golf Championship.
The NIAA 2A State Championships take place May 13-14 at The Club at Sunrise in Las Vegas.
