Humboldt General Hospital implements sliding fee scale for Rural Health Clinics

WINNEMUCCA — Humboldt General Hospital (HGH) is committed to providing quality healthcare that is both accessible and affordable for our community.

On April 1, HGH implemented a sliding fee scale for office visits within its Rural Health Clinics. This new program is designed to assist patients who may face financial barriers to care, ensuring they receive the medical attention they need. The Sliding Fee Scale applies to visits at the following clinics:

• Echo Matthews

• Residency Clinic

• Podiatry

• Behavioral Health

• Internal Medicine (Dr. Adajar)

• Walk-In Clinic

• Women’s Health

• Pain Management

• Rebecca Stevens

To be eligible, patients must complete an application, which can be obtained at registration or through a financial counselor. If approved, the discount applies to office visits only and remains in effect from Jan. 1, through Dec. 31, of the current year.

Patients must reapply annually to maintain eligibility. Any additional services performed during the visit will be subject to HGH’s financial assistance policy.

“At Humboldt General Hospital, we believe that financial concerns should never be a barrier to healthcare,” said Kim Plummer, CFO. “By implementing this sliding fee scale, we are reinforcing our commitment to serving the health needs of our rural community.”
