The Battle Mountain High School football team dropped a 28-6 decision to Dayton on Friday night at Tim Knight Field in Battle Mountain.
The Dust Devils took advantage of an early Longhorn turnover into a first quarter score and added a second touchdown in the second quarter.
Dayton closed out its scoring with two second-half touchdowns.
Battle Mountain hosts North Tahoe on Thursday at 7 p.m.
BMHS soccer loses to Dayton
The Battle Mountain boys soccer team lost 6-0 to Dayton and the girls soccer team lost 11-0 in Northern 3A East play. The BMHS girls host Pershing County on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
