The schedule makers did the Lowry High School boys soccer team, as the Buckaroos faced one of their toughest stretches of the season.
Lowry hosted West Wendover on Friday, Aug. 30, and lost 3-0 to the Wolverines, who were in the regional tournament last year as a 2A school.

The Buckaroos had their chances to find the net throughout the match but could not get on the scoreboard.
The match was scoreless at halftime, when West Wendover struck for three goals in the final 40 minutes of play.

Lowry got back on the winning track, collecting a 3-0 home win over White Pine on Saturday, Aug. 31. The Buckaroos led 1-0 at halftime and pulled away with a pair of goals in the second half.
Thomas Becerra, Carlos Valdez and Victor Barajas each scored a goal and Eric Quirarte added the lone assist for the Buckaroos.
Lowry was back on hits home field this past Friday to take on rival Elko. The Indians won a preseason tournament match 2-0 earlier in the year.
After being blanked in that match, the Buckaroos were a different team on their home field.
Juan Alvarez, JP Lisboa and Jovanni Renteria scored goals in the first half, as Lowry led 3-1 after 40 minutes of play. Lisboa and Brian Lopez added assists.
The Buckaroos finished the weekend, hosting Spring Creek and lost 3-1 to the Spartans and stand at 2-2-1 in the Northern 3A East at 3-9-1 overall.
The match got off to a strange start, as Spring Creek scored off the open-ing whistle, as Justin Miner booted the ball to the Lowry net and the ball bounced over the goalie and into the net.
Midway through the first half, Lowry tied the match at 1-1 on a shot by Erik Ruiz. The Spartans collected the game-winning goal, two minutes in-to the second half, as Miner scored his second goal of the day. Spring Creek added an insurance goal late in the match to secure the victory.
Lowry continues its long stretch of home matches, playing Dayton on Friday at 4:45 p.m. and Fernley on Saturday at 11:45 a.m.
