CARSON CITY — The Nevada State Treasurer’s Office announced it will be holding its annual unclaimed property auction beginning on Nov. 12.
Pursuant to NRS 120A.610, the Unclaimed Property Division of the State Treasurer’s Office is required to hold an annual auction for physical assets that are being held by State, in order to convert them into monetary value on behalf of owners of unclaimed property.
All proceeds of the auction are applied to the owner’s unclaimed property and become claimable by the owner or their heirs.
The State’s Unclaimed Property Division holds these funds in perpetuity until they are claimed by the respective property owner.
This year’s auction is scheduled to occur from Nov. 12-18, at JJKane.com.
Individuals who are interested in participating in the auction may visit the website to view and bid on items, which will include jewelry, collectible coins, watches, silver bars, and much more.
