The Battle Mountain High School girls golf team featured three golfers at the NIAA 2A State Girls Golf Championship last week at Ruby View Golf Course in Elko.
Jaylee Jorgenson paced the Longhorns with a two-day total of 273 to finish 26th.

Teammate Juliet LaRiva placed 31st with a 331 and Jayci Villanueva was 37th, carding a total of 364.
North Tahoe’s Adison Jones took home the individual title back to Tahoe City, Calif., beating Oasis Academy’s Meriah Cavanaugh by two strokes (176-178).
Incline’s Chole Greer (180), Sage Ridge’s Morgan Hayes (184) and North Tahoe’s Baylie Gensburg (190) rounded out the top five.

Incline overcame an eight-shot deficit after day one of the tournament and shot 412 on day two for a final total of 821 to win the team title.
North Tahoe led after the first 18 holes with a 401 but carded a 423 on day two to finish second at 824.
Sierra Lutheran (952), White Pine (1,047) and West Wendover (1,137) finished out the team standings.
