"We had a lot of fun getting the win on Yerington's homecoming night. We played well as a team. Yerington always has scrappy players who are very competitive and fierce."

"I am so happy that my girls pushed themselves and added another W to our overall record," coach Monica Halverson said.

Raegan Burrows had 16 kills, two solo blocks, two assists, and 20 digs. Arya Garland turned up three kills and 34 digs. Khloe Montes added one ace, four kills, a block solo and 17 digs.

North Tahoe came to Lovelock on the Mustangs’ senior day. Festivities honored the coaches, officials, and senior players, Aaliyah Allen and Raegan Burrows.

Khloe Montes leaps to the net against North Tahoe at Saturday's league game hosted by Pershing County.

"Our emotions got the best of us and our mistakes compounded until we were playing behind and couldn't catch up,” Halverson said.

"North Tahoe has one of the best middles in the league and she hit the ball front and back-row with speed and accuracy.”

Allen had two aces, four kills from the right, an ace and 12 digs.

Cerini's two massive solo blocks energized the Mustangs. She also had five aces, four kills and a dig. Finally, Lovelock caught up and surpassed their opponents.

"By the last set, their energy and team mentality resurfaced and they closed out the game with pure skill. It is fun to watch them play each point and do it together."
