October 3

In the case of James Edward Cochran Jr., charged with, Aggravated Stalking. Pursuant to plea negotiation, DDA Elizabeth Evans amended the criminal complaint to reflect Breach of Peace. 

The defendant entered a Guilty plea to amended charge. The court canvassed his plea and accepted the same. 

The parties recommended standard fines and fees, the court ruled as follows: Fined $1,140, to be paid in monthly payments of $50 starting December 1, 2024. Defendant was released from all pre-trial obligations.


October 4

In the case of Lani Lee Kelly, charged with Open Container. DDA Elizabeth Evans made a motion to dismiss the case pursuant to the terms of the deferred prosecution agreement. 

No objection from the defense. The case was dismissed in open court. Bail bond exonerated. 


October 8

In the case of Tabitha Lynn Counterman, charged with, 1: Eluding Public Officer, 2: Reckless Driving, 3: Driving a Motor Vehicle w/out a Valid Driver’s License. Defendant entered a Guilty plea to Count 1 & 2. 

The court canvassed her plea and accepted the same, the court ruled as follows: Fined $1,530 and was given credit for two days time served. 

The remaining balance of $1,230 is to be paid in $50 monthly payments starting December 2, 2024. Pursuant to plea agreement, DDA Elizabeth Evans made a motion to dismiss Count 3 with no objections. Count 3 was dismissed.


In the case of Velvet Ruth McNair, charged with Battery. DDA Elizabeth Evans filed a motion to continue prior to the hearing, and withdrew the motion on the record. 

The defendant entered a Guilty plea. The court canvassed her plea and ruled as follows: fined $1,140, to be paid in $50 monthly payments starting December 1, 2024.


In the case of Justin May, charged with, 1: Battery, 2: Resisting a Public Officer. DDA Elizabeth Evans amended criminal complaint for count 1 to Disturbing the Peace. The defendant plead Guilty to the amended charge. he court canvassed his plea and accepted the same, the court ruled as follows: Fined $710 and was given credit for one day time served, leaving a balance due of $560. The court will apply the cash bail to the fine and fees. The remaining balance will be returned to the person who posted it.


In the case of Ashton Richard Mitchell, charged with Destroy or Damage Property by Unlawful Assembly. Pursuant to the Global Resolution, DDA Anthony Gordon made a motion to dismiss the case with no objection from the defense. Case was dismissed in open court. 


October 9

In the case of Joel Santillan, charged with Harassment. County was represented by DDA Anthony Gordon, who presented four witnesses, the defense presented three witnesses. Defendant did not testify on his own behalf. 

It appears to the court by evidence and testimony presented, that there is not clear and convincing evidence, therefore, the court found the defendant Not Guilty.


October 10

In the case of Weylin Jordan Kienenberger, charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Pursuant to negotiations, the defendant entered a Guilty plea. 

The court canvassed his plea and ruled as follows: Fined $640 with credit given for three days time served. The court suspended the remaining $150.


In the case of Weylin Jordan Kienenberger, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Pursuant to negotiations, as defendant pled on the related case, state made motion to dismiss this matter. The court granted motion and case was dismissed in open court.
