The McDermitt High School volleyball team collected its fifth win in six matches and stand in an excellent spot for the postseason in November.
McDermitt hosted Owyhee on Saturday afternoon and cruised to a three-set sweep to improve to 5-2 in the 1A East.
The Lady Bulldogs ran away with the first and third sets at 25-10 and 25-13, respectively.
The second set was close at 25-20 but belonged to McDermitt.
After playing most of hits matches at home, McDermitt finishes the regular season with four matches on the road.
The Lady Bulldogs travel to Jackpot on Friday and Owyhee on Saturday.
McDermitt’s final home match of the year is on Saturday, Oct. 12, against league-leading Eureka. The Vandals won the first meeting.
