It was a happy homecoming for the Battle Mountain High School girls soccer team, who picked up its first win of the season with a 5-0 rout of West Wendover on Friday in Battle Mountain for homecoming.
The two teams tied 1-1 earlier in the year on the Utah/Nevada border.
Battle Mountain hosted White Pine on Saturday afternoon and lost 9-0 to the Ladycats.

The Lady Longhorns now stand at 1-10-1 on the season.
Battle Mountain traveled to Elko on Tuesday and results were not available at press time.
The Lady Longhorns hit the road twice more, beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 8, in Dayton.
The Lyon County road trip concludes on Thursday, Oct. 10, in Fernley.
Battle Mountain hosts Lowry on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 3:45 p.m.
