The PCHS Spirit Squad was part of the Mustangs’ recent win against West Wendover. They will cheer for the Mustangs throughout the postseason however the wind blows, victory or defeat.

Christina Dickerman spoke about her first year as cheer coach.

Her coaching background includes middle school track and high school color guard.

“It’s been an incredible experience. We began as a team of three and will end with a team of five,” she said.

The squad started out with Mallory Evenson, Savannah Short and Hailey Charles. Eudosia Mendoza Madrid and Lauren Poffenroth joined up later.

Evenson and Mendoza Madrid graduate this spring. Charles and Poffenroth are juniors. Short is a freshman.

“I look forward to the winter sports season and working with another talented group,” Dickerman added.

Short, Poffenroth and Charles plan to cheer for the Red and Black during the upcoming basketball season. The coach says they 'll have company.

"Our preseason meeting had some new faces,” she said.

“The steadfast support from school staff, coaches, board members and the community is greatly valued.”
