The Battle Mountain High School softball team finished off the regular season in style with a pair of wins this past Friday in Tahoe City, Calif., securing its spot in the Northern 2A Regional Championships.
The Lady Longhorns beat the Lakers 18-1 and 17-0 to improve to 11-9 in the Northern 2A.
Battle Mountain travels to Lovelock this weekend for the Northern 2A Regional Playoffs and face host Pershing County on Friday at 9 a.m.
Yerington takes on Oasis Academy at 11:30 a.m. in the other semifinal.
The losers of the opening round games play 20 minutes after the Yerington/Oasis match-up.
The semifinal winners play later on Friday afternoon after the elimination game. The championship is set for 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
