Unlike a majority of its meets, the Battle Mountain NNA swim team made the short trip to Elko on Saturday, March 16, for the 2024 Pot O Gold at the Elko City Pool.
Beckett and Barrett Buffington competed in their first sanctioned and performed great.

Beckett Buffington placed fourth in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 2 minutes, 37.88 second and was fifth in the 50-yard backstroke (1:10.5) and the 50-yard freestyle (1:09.05).
Barrett Buffington won the 50-yard backstroke in a time of 43.75 and claimed the top spot in the 50-yard freestyle (38.91).
Nevaeh Serna swim the butterfly during an individual medley in Elko.
He placed second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:31.25.
Weston Reiva won three events on the day, chopping off nearly 19 seconds in the 50-yard butterfly to stop the watch at 42.45. He improved by 6.84 seconds in the 100-yard individual medley to win with a time of 1:29.73.
In addition, Reiva won the 50-yard freestyle at 53.54 and was the runner-up in the 500-yard freestyle (7:18.45).

Neveah Serna won all four of her events, beginning with the 100-yard individual medley in a time of 1:11.52. She won the 200-yard individual medley at 2:37.14 and the 200-yard freestyle (2:27.10). Serna claimed the top spot in the 50-yard freestyle at 29.47.
