In the case of Katy Janelle Ross, charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Prior to court, defendant was sentenced in district court on the associated felony. Pursuant to negotiation, DDA Steve Girardot motioned to dismiss this case, which was accepted by the court.
March 6
In the case of John Ellis King, charged with Basic Speed 31-40 over. After hearing from all parties, the court granted the motion for reduction to non-moving violation and the charge was amended to NRS 484B.617-Rural Speed. Fines and fees will remain at $415, to be paid by cash bail forfeiture. Case closed.
In the case of Heather La Dawn Ashley, charged with Basic Speed Violation – 21-30 MPH Over Posted Speed Limit. DDA Steve Girardot discussed this matter with defendant off the record via telephone.
Pursuant to negotiation, the DA reduced the fine amount to $200 with the charge to remain as 21-30 over limit.
Defendant paid balance in full immediately following court.
March 8
In the case of Jesus Antonio Ortega, charged with Simple Assault – Amended 3/8/24.
Pursuant to negotiations, county amended charge to NRS 200.481 – Battery. The defendant entered a No Contest plea to the amended charge.
The court ruled as follows: Fined $640. The court suspended the remaining fines & fees for a period of six months on the condition of no further violations of the law.
In the case of Jacob Lorenz Ento, charged with Domestic Battery – 1st. Defendant had previously entered a No Contest plea to the amended charge of Battery.
The court ruled as follows: Fined $1,140 and was given credit of $750 for 5 days jail time served, leaving a balance of $350. Court suspended the remaining balance for a period of 6 months on the condition of no further violations of the law.
In the case of Scot Eugene Ridens, charged with, 1: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, 2: Driving While License is Canceled, Suspended, or Revoked. DDA Shane Bell made motion to dismiss per plea negotiations set forth in 6th Judicial Court Case No. CR2307526. Order singed by Judge dismissing the case without prejudice.

In the case of Basil Lee Hooper Jr., charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. Order singed by Judge dismissing case without prejudice.
