The Lovelock Softball Association (LSA) launched its seventh season on Thursday, June 6.

Eight teams each paid $250 to support the summertime attraction at McDougal Park.

PCHS junior Trenton Rhodes plays on the Thick N Wild softball team over the summer.

In deference to the heat, the games run from 6 until 9 p.m. They play on Monday and Thursday nights. The season runs through early July.

In 2018, Jim's Point S won the first-ever LSA championship.

Thick N Wild has won every title since then, and are now the five-time defending league champions.

Players and fans gather at McDougal Park for another season of adult softball.

But the summer is still young, and they have plenty of competition from teams like Goyo's Garage, Modelo Time and the High Desert Hitters.

Brian Smokey (PCHS Class of 2012) is the league president.

He was a running back for the Mustang football team and also played baseball. He hit two home runs his senior year.

This summer he reunites with many of his former teammates like former LSA president Jared Jensen, now the Mustang baseball coach.
