The Battle Mountain 8-10-year-old all-star softball team is in Elko for the District 3 Tournament at Newton Field.
White Pine and Fernley open play on Thursday at 8 a.m. and Battle Mountain takes on host Elko at 10 a.m.
The two winners play Friday at 8 a.m. and the two losers are scheduled for 10 a.m.
An elimination game is set for Saturday at 4:30 p.m. and the championship will be played Sunday at 8 a.m.
The champion advances to the state tournament at Golden Eagle Park in Reno from July 5-9.
The Battle Mountain roster includes Ariana Munoz Bryn Tolbert, Emma Benavidez, Grace Lowe, Jaelynn Winters, Jovi Spring, Khloe Stewart, Kimber Wilcox, Nora Baysinger, Sophia Osorio and Stryker Swensen.
The coaches are Kala Blaylock, Hollie Winters and Sarah Tolbert.
