After taking the month of July off, the Winnemucca Junior High School girls basketball team will hold a few more open gyms for the upcoming season.
All girls interested are encouraged to attend.
The seventh-grade open gyms will be held on Aug. 6 and 8 from 8 a.m.- 10 a.m. at the junior high school.
The eighth-grade team will have open gyms on Aug. 7 and 9 from 8 a.m.-10 a.m.
Tryouts for the seventh graders will be Aug. 12 and 13 from 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. and the eighth graders tryout on Aug. 14 and 15 from 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.
All girls must have a physical and other paperwork completed and on file with the school prior to tryouts.
This paperwork is available in the WJHS office or during open gyms. Humboldt General Hospital will be offering free sports physicals on July 27, at 8:30 a.m..
