After an unexpected week off due to the weather, the McDermitt High School boys basketball team was back on the floor this past weekend for two home games.
McDermitt hosted league-leading Eureka on Friday and lost 63-28. The Bulldogs took on Lund on Saturday afternoon and lost 58-43.
Against undefeated Eureka, sophomore Shandon Camas picked up eight points and five rebounds, while teammate Josh Northrup added seven points, three rebounds and two steals.
Chris Scott and Cadyn Crutcher added five and four points, respectively and Dylan Palmer and Warrick Crutcher each had two points.
In the loss to Lund, McDermitt led 13-11 after the first eight minutes of play, but the Mustangs dominated the second and third quarters.
Lund used a 21-point second quarter to lead 32-27 at halftime and broke the game open with a 21-4 spurt in the third quarter.
Eli Northrup paced McDermitt with 12 points, eight rebounds, four assists and four steals. Jeremiah Horn joined him in double figures with 12 points to go with 10 rebounds for a double-double.
Palmer and Josh Northrup each scored six points and Scott and Warrick Crutcher each scored three points.
McDermitt dropped to 3-12 overall and 1-3 in the 1A East.
The Bulldogs travel to Jackpot on Friday and Wells on Saturday.
