The calendar may say January and snow is on the ground, but Battle Mountain NNA swimmer Nevaeh Serna is still at in the pool. 

The youngster competed in the Blizzard Blast this past weekend and recorded three best times.

Serna put in her application to swim on the Zone 4 Pacific Swim All-Star team and if picked she would swim on March 3. 

The all-star meet will be held in Carson City this year.

Serna competing in the 11-12-year-old division, won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1 minute, 8.34 seconds and she led the way in the 100-yard freestyle at 1:03.35. 

Serna was tops in the 50-yard backstroke with a personal-best time of 31.56 seconds and was first in the 50-yard freestyle (28.55) another personal best.

Serna was the runner-up in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:19.41.
