Buffington of Battle Mountain, Nevada made application to the State Engineer of Nevada for permission to change the place and manner of use of 1.0 c.f.s., 375.0 a.f.a., a portion of water heretofore appropriated under Permit 83191. Water will be diverted from an underground source (Construction Well No. 1) at a point located within the SE1/4 SE1/4 Section 17, T35N, R43E, MDB&;M, or at a point from which the SE corner of said Section 17 bears S 35 degrees 49 minutes 48 seconds E a distance of 623 feet (approx. 21 miles NW of Battle Mountain, NV). Water will be used for renewable energy generation purposes from January 1st to December 31st of each year. Water was used for irrigation purposes from January 1st to December 31st of each year.
