For just the second and third time this season, the Lowry High School girls basketball team was on its home floor.
The Lady Bucks opened Northern 3A East play with a 51-14 win over Spring Creek on Thursday and a 70-42 victory against Elko on Saturday afternoon. Lowry improved to 2-0 in league play and 12-4 overall.

Lowry held Spring Creek scoreless for nearly the first six minutes of the game.
The Lady Bucks jumped out to a 12-0 lead off baskets by Savannah Stoker, Britain Backus and a free throw by Khlloe Shorey.
Spring Creek scored with 2:13 left in the first quarter and did not score again until the 5:04 mark of the second quarter.
Lowry scored the final 12 points of the first quarter to lead 24-2 and the first nine points of the second quarter to increase the advantage to 31-2 and an eventual 39-9 lead at halftime.
Much of the second half was played with a running clock, as the starters played just a couple minutes of the second half.
Backus knocked down two 3-pointers to pace Lowry with 14 points. Stoker scored all 10 of her points in the first quarter and Natalee Formby knocked down two 3-pointers to finish with seven points.
Audry Mason also added seven points, Cambria Tisue and Bryce Brinkerhoff four each, Shorey three and Autum Sanchez two.

Lowry 70, Elko 42
Lowry overcame a slow start against Elko on Saturday afternoon to complete the sweep of the Elko County schools. The Indians scored on a handful of breakaway baskets in the first quarter to lead 9-8 but it was all Lady Bucks from there.
Behind 13 points from Stoker and seven more from Brinkerhoff, Lowry quickly pulled away to a 24-15 lead after eight minutes of play.
Stoker and Brinkerhoff continued to give the Indians fits with the two combining 12 points in the second quarter. Shorey added four points to help Lowry lead 42-21 at halftime after an 18-6 run in the second quarter.
Lowry led by as many as 28 points in the third quarter, following a 3-pointer from Formby.
Elko got a s close as 22 points in the fourth quarter but it was Lady Bucks on the afternoon.
Stoker finished with 32 points and Brinkerhoff added 15.
Shorey contributed eight points, Tisue and Miranda Draper four each, Formby three and Maura Braatz and Sanchez two each.
Lowry is back home on Friday to play Churchill County at 6 p.m.
