Nevada announces six signees to open early signing period


RENO — Nevada Football announced six signees on Wednesday's opening day of the early signing period.

Joining the Wolf Pack program are offensive linemen Luke Farr (El Dorado Hills, Calif./Army and Navy Academy) and Tyler Miller (Reno /Galena HS), tight end Hayden George (Lebanon, Ore./Lebanon HS), defensive back Jackson Barton (Glendale, Ariz./ Sanra Day O'Connor HS), EDGE LeVar Talley (Philadelphia, Pa./ Santa Margarita Catholic HS (Calif.) and junior-college transfer punter Guy Gillespie (Baldwyn, Miss./Northeast Mississippi CC / Booneville HS).

The group represents six states across all four times zones of the lower 48 states, including one Reno native, Miller, who helped lead Galena High to the 2023 Northern 5A Division III title and an appearance in the state title game.

As a junior, was credited with 40 pancake blocks on offense, and 73 tackles (40 solo) with 9.0 sacks and 15.0 tackles-for-loss on defense.

Made 27 catches for 565 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2023 … Named 5A All-State Honorable Mention and to the All-MWC Team as a junior.

 Also starred in baseball for Lebanon, being named all-state as a sophomore.

As placekicker, converted 5-of-9 field-goal attempts with a long of 49, and was 26-for-30 on PAT attempts.

FRESHMAN (2022): Was Northeast Mississippi's kicker for the season … Made eight of his 15 field-goal attempts, with a long of 43 … Hit on 24-of-26 PAT attempts.
