The McDermitt High School boys basketball team dropped its first two games of 2023 Christmas Classic at North Valleys High School and Damonte Ranch High School in Reno.
On Wednesday, Dec. 27, McDermitt lost 55-14 to the Spanish Springs JV.
On Thursday, Dec. 28, the Bulldogs lost to the North Valleys JV 58-43.
McDermitt took on the Carson JV in the consolation bracket and results were not available due to early press deadlines from the printer in Oregon.
The final day of the tournament was on Saturday, Dec. 30, where McDermitt took on Lowry or Churchill County.
McDermitt begins 1A East play at home on Friday against Jackpot at 6:30 p.m.
The Bulldogs are back home on Saturday for a 2:30 p.m. tip versus Wells.
McDermitt heads out on a three-game road trip to Owyhee (Jan. 12), Carlin (Jan. 13) and Independence (Jan. 16).
