The Pershing County High School girls basketball team started their week by beating Coral Academy of Science 46-13 in Reno.
Last Friday. the Mustangs played their first home game of the year this past Friday night and lost 39-29 to Battle Mountain.
On Saturday, Pershing County collected a 35-25 win against the visiting West Wendover Wolverines.
The Mustangs were up 29-5 going into the half against Coral Academy. Fourteen of Lovelock's 46 points came from Kyra Cerini, a junior. She had four 3-pointers.
Aaliyah Allen added 12 points and nine rebounds. Riley Harvey also scored in the double digits with 10 points, to go with eight rebounds, and five steals. Arya Garland dished out five assists.
Friday was a big basketball night for Lovelock and Battle Mountain. Both communities showed up en masse for Pershing County's first home game of the year.

The Mustangs lost an early lead against the Longhorns and never got back on track although they came close.
"We played a really good first quarter against Battle Mountain as we were up 16-7. The problem was the girls forgot we had three more quarters to play. Once we lost the momentum, we never got it back. We battled foul trouble all game with key players," said coach Lee Houston.
The week ended with the win against West Wendover. It was an exciting game to watch and brought out hard play from both sides.
"West Wendover is a scrappy team that plays hard all the time," Houston said.
Harvey scored 17 points and Allen added nine.
"Arya Garland and Khloe Montes handled the ball and played great pressure D throughout the game. The season is young and we will get better and better as it goes on," said Houston.
On Dec. 18, PCHS traveled to Oasis Academy in Fallon and results were not available at press time.
On Friday, PCHS travels to Sierra Lutheran High School.
They'll be back on their home court against Dayton after winter break on Dec. 27 at 3 p.m.
