The Nevada Division of Child & Family Services is hosting an online Pre-Service Training for Foster Care Applicants from Jan. 28 to February 6, designed to provide prospective foster parents with the foundational knowledge and skills needed to begin fostering in Rural Nevada.
This free training will cover essential topics such as:
• Foster parent roles and keys to successful fostering.
• Supporting children with special needs or those who have experienced trauma.
• Navigating the foster care licensing process.
• Working with birth families toward reunification.
• Insights from individuals with lived experience in the foster care system.
