In the case of Carl Lynell Jones, charged with, 1: Battery on an Officer w/ Deadly Weapon, 2: Eluding Police Officer in a Manner Posing Danger to Persons or Property. DDA Stephen Girardot amended the criminal complaint to Assault.
The defendant entered a No Contest Plea to the amended charge. The court canvassed the defendant’s plea and accepted the same.
The court ruled as follows: fined 1,140 and was given credit for time served. The defendant was released from the obligations of pre-trial services. Bail bond exonerated.
November 20
In the case of Craig Stacey, charged with Domestic Battery – 1st Offense. Defendant entered a No Contest plea and read and signed the Domestic Battery Admonishment and Waiver form.
The court canvassed his plea and accepted the same, the court ruled as follows: fined $340, to be paid in $50 monthly payments starting on or before February 1, 2025, 30 days jail time with 28 days stayed for a period of one year.
Defendant is to serve remaining two days and was given credit for two days time served.
Defendant also given community service of 48 hours, and was given credit for completion of Parenting Class. Defendant is also required to attend 26 sessions of Batters Intervention Counseling, to be completed by September 1, 2025. A review hearing is set for April 15, 2025 at 1:15p.m.
In the case of Vanessa Eileen Bill, charged with Child Abuse, Neglect, or Endangerment.
The state, represented by DDA Steve Girardot, called three witnesses, the defense called no witnesses. DDA Girardot informed the court that based on the testimony of the witnesses, that this matter not be bound over to district court. Court dismissed case in open court.
Defendant is released from pre-trial services, as well as all conditions of her 48hr. order.
