FALLON, NV – The highly anticipated Fallon Cantaloupe Festival & Country Fair is set to return from August 23 through 25, offering a packed schedule of family-friendly activities and entertainment that celebrate Nevada's rich agricultural history.
As one of Nevada's longest-running agricultural festivals, the event honors the cantaloupe, a staple of the region's farming heritage, and aims to showcase local talent, support Nevada businesses, and celebrate both the past and present of Fallon's agricultural community.
Throughout the three-day festival, attendees will have the opportunity to explore over 200 vendors, including food, beverage, shopping, and non-profit booths. This year's festival will see the return of the popular Cantaloupe Beer Garden, now located behind the Pavilion Stage.
Festival organizers have planned a variety of events to engage visitors of all ages. Highlights include a car show, the Cantaloupe Canter 5K, a carnival with traditional country fair games, and the inaugural Jr. Roughstock Challenge hosted by Battle Born Bronc. For the younger crowd, activities such as the 4-H Grease Pig Catch and the Cutest Cowboy and Cowgirl Contest are sure to delight.
Live entertainment will be a major attraction, with concerts scheduled at the Rafter 3C Arena. Friday night will feature performances by Eric Henry Anderson at 7 p.m., Nine Days at 8 p.m., and Dishwalla at 9:30 p.m. On Saturday, doors open at 6 p.m., with Steve and Raena Blaise taking the stage at 7:15 p.m., followed by Patrice at 8 p.m., and Ward Davis at 9 p.m.
While concert tickets are sold separately from festival admission, additional live music performances at the Pavilion Stage will be available to all festival-goers at no extra cost.
